'Amelia' is a very special girl to us- our third generation and a singleton out of our girl 'Acadia' . I wanted a black tri girl from the cross, so sometimes things work out just how they are meant to be. She is fun and feisty, with the middle name "naughty" (as a puppy my husband claims she is the worse trouble maker we have ever raised- but the fact that she was a singleton doesn't help); I think it is her smart side shining through. However, she is very easy to train and wants to please. As an adult, she's mellowed out a lot, and in 2017 when I lost Lassen, she became my nightly "cuddle dog" on the sofa. She adores our kids and will follow them around.
Her first show weekend out she took two best of opposite sex puppy awards over some nice puppies. We did some agility training when she was a puppy & young adult, then moved more rural and lost access to local agility classes. Along with raising our own human babies, her agility training got put on the back burner, but I hope to return soon since our children aren't little babies now. She is expecting her first litter of puppies in June 2019 and we hope she will carry on with the next generation here at Ashfall Aussies. |
